WE HAVE MOVED!

We have moved, AGAIN! :) This time to 21A, Arab Street, Singapore 199844. Click on the following map to get a bigger view.

If you are walking from Bugis MRT Station:
Take Exit B (Raffles Hospital & Golden Landmark), walk down Ophir Road on the right, turn left at Beach Road, we’re right at the corner of Arab Street! Or you can choose to walk down North Bridge Road, then turn right and walk all the way down Arab Street!

If you are taking a bus, the following bus services are available:
Opposite and at Park Royal Hotel (along Beach Road) – 100, 107, 107M
Ophir Road (near Bali Lane) – 2N, 4N, 48
Parkview Square (along North Bridge Road) – 7, 32, 51, 63, 80, 145, 175, 197

If you are driving, there are parking lots available along Arab Street, free parking after 5pm on weekdays and on Sundays. There are also some other open-air carparks as circled in red. Alternatively, you may choose to park at some of these following places:

Mondays to Fri days – 8am – 5pm: $2.20 for 1st hr; $1.10 for subsequent ½ hr
5pm – 8am (next day): $2.20/entry

Saturdays – 8am – 1pm: $2.20 for 1st hr; $1.10 for subsequent ½ hr
1pm – 8am (next day): $2.20/entry

Sundays – 8am – 1pm: $2.20/entry

We're located right at the corner of Arab Street along Beach Road on the second level. The first level is the Da Chang Jin Steamboat and BBQ. Quite a happening place, lotsa good food around. We love this cosy place and we hope you will too!

志文's EP launch at KBox Cineleisure (13th Dec 2008)

This event drew quite a substantial crowd. Many original compositions were shared during this event. It serves as a encouragement to those songwriters-to-be to start writing their own songs.

流行音乐制作分享会 18th May 2008 - NLB- Part one

Hello!!! For those who have missed the great show, fret not...Here are some interesting pictures to relate the event details...

This seminar was co-organised by NTU-Music Express 14 and VI Music, which it aims to inpire budding songwriters and educate the public on music composing.

Participants are from VI Music, many of them are songwriters and experienced performers.

The turnout for the seminar was pretty good. The crowd was young, mainly comprised of tertiary students and young adults.

Many of our own VI students also took time off to support us at NLB. Many thanks to you guys!!!







Our pretty emcee-Lilian interviewing Lester (VI's founder) and Zhiwen (VI's music instructor/music producer) at the start of the seminar. Both established songwriters have shared their experience in songwriting and their views on the current music industry.







An interview with our very own VI writer- Mark. He has written song for 辛晓琪 (空窗) and 赖雅妍（知觉）. Apart from song composing, Mark is also active in the music scene, with experiences in music production and performances. He is now busy with the SuperBand 2 competition by Channel U, where he plays the keyboard for the band 三月. 加油Mark and friends!!! Hope all of you can give them your support!

Our new writer- Koksong sold his first song to Jordan Chan this year...He is a "活招牌" or learning example whom starts from stretch on music composing and works his way up till he sold his first song....Congrats Koksong....

COMPASS Dinner

COMPASS (Composers and Authors Society of Singapore Ltd) dinner was held on 25th of May 2008. These are a couple of photos of Zhiwen's performance that night at the dinner:

Thank you those who came down to support the seminar organised by VI Music and NTU Music Express 14 committee at the National Library Plaza on the 10th of May 2008.

The turnout was well and all performers- Wendy, Xiaokai, Kok Song, Yao Wen have shared with the audience their experiences in music composing and their music inspirations. Not to forget our emcee, Lilian for her great assistance in coordinating the show and also Joey, for her guest appearance in performing for one of our songs.

The next seminar will be on 18th of May 2008, Sunday, 2pm to 4pm at the same location. This time round, we will introduce our VI established writers- Lester, Zhiwen, Mark & Melvin. They will share with the audience about the music industry and tips for songwriting. There will also be Live performances on the songs written by them. This is a show not to be missed....Do join us there!!! :)
